Great Piece of Architecture
Kansai Airport, Osaka
http://www.aij.or.jp/eng/prizes/design/photo24.gif

Kansai airport is located on an artificial island off osaka's coast, the roof of the airport consists of arches. The sizes and form of these arches are determined by research into the dynamic lines of air flow circulation. The general form of the whole building follows the movement of the wave, and the curve reproduces a image of a glider resting on the island. The shape of the building fits in perfectly with its surrounding environment of water, wind and light.

Something Beautiful
Night Blooming Cereus (Lunar Flower)

This is a photo of a night blooming cereus also know as the lunar flower and is actually a cactus flower. We all know that flowers need sunlight and of course water to bloom but this flower only blooms at night and only once a month during summer so seeing this flower bloom is rare.

Creative Art
Campbelltown Art Center

This is a rendered image from a model i created for my major portfolio for TAFE, it a rendered image of Campbelltown Art Center. This building was nominated by the Australian Institute of Architects for a national and state award in 2006, due to its unique shape each element had to be custom made and the roof was designed to look like a giant silver wing hovering over walls of abstract art.
